ABOUT US

We are a group of patients who are committed to seeing the National Spinal Injury Centre restored to being a centre of excellence, and to reversing the dilution of services that have taken place under the management of Buckinghamshire NHS Health Trust. Some of our members will choose to identify themselves as part of the group. For protection of some of our membership, the names of the entire group will not be made public.

How do I get involved?

For now, we need the help of as many patients of the NSIC as possible to send in the letters, copy in MP's etc, and to get family members to send in letters. The more letters we can send in and the more people that know about the campaign the better. We will post on the Facebook page and this website when we have updates and if we move the further actions.

What to do:
1) Download the Complaint Letter below in whichever format you use.
2) Edit the Complaint letter to – a. Put your own address in at the top b. Address the letter to “Dear David Highton, Chairman, and Neil McDonald, Chief Executive,” c. Sign the letter off at the bottom with your own name.
3) Send the Complaint Letter to either – a. bht.complaints@nhs.net b. Trust Offices, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Mandeville Road, Aylesbury HP21 8AL Then:
4) Download the Contacts document in whichever format you use.
5) Download the Cover Letter in whichever format you use.
6) Edit the Cover Letter to – a. Put your own address in at the top b. Sign the letter off at the bottom with your own name c. For each contact, address the letter to them by name, and insert their job title d. Send the Cover Letter AND Complaint Letter to each contact, either by email or post.
The more Complaint Letters we can get sent in to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust the more they will have to listen to us. The more attention we can draw to the issues the better – the Contact list is not exhaustive so please feel free to send to anyone you know who may be able to help us… media, journalists, celebrities, organisations... We’d love to try and keep a track of the number sent in to BHT and out to contacts if we can so if you get time please do let us know either by email – NSICaction@gmail.com - or on the Facebook page.
